Great TV, some design issues, but picture quality is just fantastic. Happily i spent some time up close with one a few weeks back.
Big problem, PRICE. for a Projection set, it is just too expensive for what it is. Mitsubishi honestly believes they can PR spin it into being the alternative to flat panel sets like Elite Kuro.
Sorry, it is just over priced. until these sets have more moderate pricing, ie $5k list price and on sale for $3500. it is just way too much.
Mitsubishi, get these tv's into bigger production and price them in a way people will buy them in #'s. Now that Sony stopped making projection sets, Mitsubishi has an opportunity to own the market, seriously, but they won't if they price it ridiculously high like they have!!
Agreed, in terms of picture quality it may be on terms with the Kuro line but its still 7k for a massive television. I would like to see one mounted on a wall, I have a feeling that is not going to look very attractive. I don't believe these will be the "big hype" for the holiday season.

How was the off angle viewing? One of the things I really appreciated going to direct-view was that it didn't dim off axis like RPs do.
Does this dim off axis?
