Probably with *most* surround systems that people have, even HTiBs, I'd say people would tell the difference between DD and DTS-HD. The difference is quite dramatic. It's 16-bit compared to 24-bit.
So I look forward to hearing Samsung issuing the update asap, for those with HDMI 1.2 or lower.

huh? some words were filtered out then...I meant to say:
< lossy > 16-bit compared to < lossless > 24-bit.
which is a big difference felt by even entry level receivers.
In a dialogue-heavy audio track it's really not a big deal.
