AT&T celebrates a year of U-verse in Connecticut
Huzzah! AT&T has made it a full twelve months in the great state of Connecticut, and it's out to make sure you recognize that fact. Since being granted a certificate of video franchise authority around this time last year, the provider has strung its U-verse services to "approximately half of the municipalities" in the Constitution State. Just recently, it also brought along Total Home DVR to the customers here, and while it vows to continually expand its services in due time, there's no birthday mention of new communities getting any fiber-based presents. Talk about a lame party.

ALL of the new HD channels are up right now. Alot more of a selection.
Why don't they celebrate by rolling it out to the rest of the country?
They've been available to me in CT for almost two years, it's just that all the legal issues they had changed how they were clasified by the state DPUC a year ago. Their limitation on HD streams, and lack of RSN's in HD, keeps me with Cablevision. Also for a comparable triple play they actually would cost me more then I am paying with Cablevision, even after the Cablevision rate increase goes into effect.
Why would I want to go to U-Verse when I get 15mbps with cablevision and at&t is 1.5mbps. Now if FiOS was rolling out in my area I would be happy. Amazing TV selection and roughly the same internet speed if not faster.
1.5 mbps..not really I have 10 mbps right now with U-Verse and pretty soon they will be upgrading to 18 mbps
