AT&T's 30 new HD channels are live on U-verse TV
If you're a U-verse TV subscriber with even a smidgen of fanaticism when it comes to HD, chances are you didn't miss the announcement about 30 new high-def stations last week. In any case, AT&T has activated all 30 today just as promised, with subscribers from sea to shining sea proclaiming that they can now enjoy oodles more high-def than they could just yesterday. Huzzah![Thanks, Anthony]

TWC subscriber here in Raleigh. Reading this is really infuriating. They get 30 "new" channels added to their list...we don't even have 30 channels total. Hopefully, they add the 20 they are claiming to be turning on early next year sooner rather than later. I've seen a ton of AT&T activity at the boxes outside my house. TWC better get their sh!# together soon or I'm switching to something.
you can't win Chance. TWC is terrible about adding new service, has terrible DVR software, terrible prices, and terrible customer service. Nice picture though.
U-verse has a bunch of new channels, decent prices, but a pretty crappy picture IMO.
It would be nice if Verizon could drop a trillion $$$ and get FiOS everywhere ASAP.
I very rarely hate companies, but TWC comes oh so close to making me hate them. Alex listed the main problems. I have U-Verse and while HD picture quality isn't as good as TWC, I still prefer it because at least they give me something that I want to WATCH in HD.
Everytime I complain, however, I remind myself that at least it's not Charter in Ventura (California). Half of the city of Ventura has TWC, the other half is "served" by Charter. Charter hasn't even released digital cable or high speed internet yet, much less HD. Bastardi!
