Panasonic unveils new 11 Series plasma displays in Germany
While not quite as brain-melting as Panasonic's 150-incher and not nearly as sophisticated as its tru2way-enabled VIERA TH-50PZ80Q, Panny's 11 Series is still worth a gander. Announced today over in Deutschland, the line gets going with the 42-inch TH-42PH11EK/ES and 50-inch TH-50PH11EK/ES, which check in with a 1,024 x 768 and 1,366 x 768 resolution, respectively. Moving on to bigger (or similarly sized) and (mostly) better things, we've got the TH-42PF11EK (42-inch), TH-50PF11EK (50-inch), TH-58PF11EK (58-inch) and the TH-65PF11EK (65-inch), all of which offer a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution and a 30,000:1 contrast ratio. As for pricing and availability, everything smaller than 58-inches can be acquired now for undisclosed amounts, while the big daddies should follow in December.

Very nice, with the thin bezel. Anyway, these are video-only displays, with either a DVI or SDI input. So, while these won't replace a TV at home, you can probably use them with a good HDMI amplifier/receiver for a home theater system.
Why no tuner included? I don't like the case designs for these very boring along with the stands. Looks very 1990's. When do they hit the states? At least the have a silver option.
Series 11 displays have been out in America for quite some time now. This is nothing new!! As for the 2 last comments, you are both very wrong. People love these displays, they are the commercial lines and many people including myself have these in their homes. They have a very thin bezel which is a very unique way to show off your HDTV. These displays come with 2 hdmi hookups as well as interchangable cards that use can take out and put in for different inputs. These displays are also considered to have better pictures to their commercial counterparts, you can tweek these displays way more, thus getting a better calibration.
I don't think you read this carefully these are available in the US now (profession series)
professional
Yep. These are the professional models. More durable and cheaper.
As usual Panasonic goes with the ugly as hell bezel (yes, I know they're professional series, the consumer panels are just as ugly, compared to Samsung for example), but absolutely AMAZING panel. You simply can't beat a Panny VIERA for an HDTV, unless you have a KURO. ;) I have a 2 year old VIERA, and man is it one aesthetically ugly TV, but the picture is still amazing even compared to new TVs. Plasma FTW!!
