It's not the first game on any of the current round of HD consoles that have important game details that are illegible on SDTVs and it won't be the last.
These are HD consoles for HDTVs. Use a cheap computer monitor if you don't have an HDTV. I'd rather not have the game designers have to design for the lowest common denominator.
