Digital TV transition spoof video is both informative and hilarious
By now, you've probably seen at least one DTV transition commercial, and if not, you're clearly not watching enough television. Criticisms aside, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to point you at what will unquestionably be the most hilarious (albeit informative) digital TV conversion ad of all time. We won't even bother trying to explain what happens in this 1 minute, 53 second masterpiece, but as you can glean from the photo above, this is a can't-miss experience. Jump past the break and mash play.

How come they are always teasing old people in these commercials????
How come they are always teasing old people in these commercials? Respect your elders.
Sorry, all too true. A doofus at 30 is still a 'tard at 80.
The video is already down, do you have an alternate location for it?
HAHA. Genius!
Minor gripes:
From the video: "If you are still receiving your signal over the air, you will have to convert your analog signal." Well, no; you'll have to convert your *digital* signal.
And it's also a myth that something magical will happen to all old TVs and old NTSC tuners on Feb 17th. Bleh.
This is too true. I had to get my parents' TVs set up, and while it's simple for the Gen-X and younger crowd, I can see how the older generations would be completely confused.
Then again, I don't know how they ever hooked up their DVD player.
After it was done, they are loving the clear picture and extra channels though.
The reading of the URLs at the end is just hillariours:
hittap, two dots, slashes, wah wah wah, period, digitaltips, period, orja
Blu ray is gong to work a treat on her set up!
why did she have that LCD monitor for her PC but still had a 50 year old TV????
try buying one without an lcd anymore...
I get that........but why wouldnt she have a PC from like 10 years ago......I mean if they goin for that "old" angle
Obviously she was borrowing her grandchildren's PC. I think that was pointed out when she asked 'Is this my new tv?"
Which was my personal favorite line btw. I found this hilarious as my grandmother has been dealing with this recently, and as I live several states away my little sister has been having to go over to deal with it. The stories I hear over the phone sound similar.
