this brings up an important question. Does anyone know of a standalone adapter that will go from SPDIF to bluetooth? I'd like to listen to stereo and be able to crank it up louder than i can in my current environment.
Nice idea but BT doesn't have the bandwidth, which is one of the reasons BT headphones (not headsets, I mean the type you listen to music on) haven't proven particularly popular as yet - the music has to be sent compressed over the BT connection.
