It's very nice. The quality even with regular HD titles (not HDX) is pretty damn good even better then Xbox one and HDX is pretty much the same as Blu-Ray. I don't really see any difference.

I had the pleasure to talk to the Vudu representative and he just told me that they are getting ready to kick butt with new updates, adding additional network features and bonus content and allowing ALL purchases to be redownloaded so you don't have any fear that you will lose your money/movies you bought through them.

Exciting really. I'm really enjoying it and it makes me very happy that their catalog is massive. I think I'll use Netflix/Xbox combo only for specific things but Vudu is my main movie watching machine these days for rental.

Try it, it will definitely make you think twice about downloads.

Bozster

Comments on VUDU now home to 1,100 HD titles: "largest HD library in existence"

Is it a subscription based rental or per title? I don't see the value of a per title rental if I can Netflix BDs AND watch certain movies streamed with a fixed monthly cost.

I will say that DL's are starting to look a lot more promising than I previously thought for rentals, but for now, I'm sticking with Netflix for rentals and BD for movies I want to own.

DEEZNUTZ

Comments on VUDU now home to 1,100 HD titles: "largest HD library in existence"

What I like about this box is that for every Iron Man and Speed Racer (and they're ok movies), they also have a very cool list of classic films. THX 1138 looks very good in HDX. They have old Sam Peckinpah movies (Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia) in HD. They have stuff in HD that isn't on DVD yet (Rolling Thunder, for example if your a Paul Schrader fan).

The full count including even the old SD stuff is now close to 12,000! I managed to find an old Andrei Tarkovsky film (The Mirror) that I couldn't find on DVD for years.

Rob78
