New York's WNYW takes HD newscasts to high-def
Back in April, we wondered when New York's WNYW would finally follow suit and take its local newscasts to high-def. As of this week, the Big Apple's FOX affiliate is finally broadcasting its local news in glistening HD. As tipster Rich so elequotely put it: "There's nothing like seeing how bad a night your favorite news anchor had when tuning in at 5:00AM." I noticed it this weekend. I saw Christina Park give the news. Her makeup looked caked on. I haven't seen the other anchors yet.
My 9 is still SD though.
Finally!!!!
Well, good for New York, here in Chicago on the other hand. We Are still waiting for WFLD (Fox) Chicago to flip the switch. We have:
CBS
NBC
ABC
WGN (cw affiliate)
All of them broadcasting news in HD. Although we do have four, and that seems to be as much as anybody else, 80% of the local stations is not 100. Get on the ball FOX!!!! We also have a PBS station called lake shore tv or something that has their own news, but I am not counting them because probably only like 12 people watch them.
