Acer's 24-inch P244Wbmii LCD monitor touts 1080p panel, twin HDMI inputs
Further blurring the line between an LCD computer monitor and a bedroom HDTV is Acer, as its P244Wbmii boasts not only a 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) panel but also a pair of HDMI inputs. The 24-inch (TN) display features a 2-millisecond response time, 300 cd / m2 brightness, 20,000:1 contrast ratio and a VGA port for PC purists. Mum's the word on a price or availability, but all signs point to a Japanese first / only release.

That thing behind the base is apparently an add-on containing speakers.
I'm curious whether this is a native 1080p panel or a masked 1200 (v).
Also, hopefully they've improved their dynamic contrast because their current one is horrible.
I think this would be great if it makes it here. Most hybrid monitors out there between 19 and 24 inches max out at 3,000:1 and still look great. The 20:000:1 CR is probably dynamic, but I bet it will look great regardless if it can pump out true 1080p (with an adequate video card, of course). I have an 22" AOC LCD TV with similar specs and it looks fantastic.

Um. This monitor has been available for a while now, I've been eyeing it for at least a month on newegg.
