Comcast adds FX HD / FOX News HD in New Hampshire and Massachusetts

While Boston and Brookline already had access to these two, surrounding areas (which are obviously less privy to upgrades) have finally been blessed with FX HD and FOX News HD. Two separate tipsters have chimed in to inform us that both channels are live in the Andover, MA / Nashua, New Hampshire areas, which should provide for some solid extra weekend entertainment. If you can keep your eyes off of college football, that is.[Thanks, Joe and David]
These were also added to the Burlington, VT area early yesterday morning.
Why are we always later then the so called big market citys, I think it`s because Comcast has no competition in New Hampshire Thanks a lot Verizon.
Well I had them for a while. Then one day that and the MGM HD channels were showing as "you are not subscribed to". :/ So they must have moved these from the basic HD tier. :P That's for being such a tease Verizon.

Are you in MA and did you switch from Comcast to Fios? I've been thinking about doing it for a while now but Comcast has more HD channels than Fios. At worse, they're equal so I haven't found a reason to switch (though i'm dying to find one).
I switched internet from Comcast to FiOS a number of years ago and haven't looked back. I switched to the FiOS TV once it came available in my town and the only issue I've had was when I added the service to the bill and Verizon's billing took 11 months to fix the issue.
Technically the service has been flawless. No dropouts, performance issues, or unexplained problems at all. My only real wish would be to have the option on the boxes to only see the channels in the guide that you have in your plan without having to assign them in a favorite's list manually one at a time. :/ SAd thing is, they keep adding more and more HD stations which is nice, but then the numbers get all reassigned, which is not. :P
Got it in Hopkinton also. to steve, I doubt this has anything to do with a lack of compeition, but rather trying to add to a bandwidth starved system.
Comcast is only adding channels because they have competition. FIOS still has a better picture quality because of less compression. It's very noticeable.
I would have to agree on this one, very much so. I have a friend that used to work for Comcast and he switched to FiOS when his town got it as well. He noticed a significant difference in the picture quality on SD and HD channels. Now if an Ex-Comcast employee can tell, then it must be true. ;)
