Yawn. I bought BeyondTV years ago, on the promise of integration with BeyondMedia, as an alternative to XP MCE. Now, BeyondMedia hasn't been updated in forever, integration doesn't look any closer, and Vista Media Center slaughters it in almost every way (SmartSkip is the only real advantage for me, and that's not nearly enough to make me want to put up with all the drawbacks). Shame on you, Snapstream, for fooling me once, but you won't fool me this time.
FYI, we've stopped selling Beyond Media and it's been no secret for at least the last two years that we weren't actively developing on the Beyond Media product. I had openly posted about this in our forums along with the reasons why. We've also gladly given refunds to people who explicitly bought Beyond Media on the promise of the combination of Beyond TV and Beyond Media.
“Getting too close completely blurred what we saw to the point of incomprehension, but again, this shows a whole heap of potential that's fascinating to us.”
