"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
Ha, that reminds me of that episode of Pimp My Ride a few years back. This guy was a big movie buff, and the idiots over at West Coast Customs decided it'd be a good idea to put a giant inflatable movie screen in his trunk, complete with a projector built into the trunk. Press the button, the trunk opens, the screen inflates, and the projector turns on.
Seriously, that is the stupidest thing they have ever done. And mind you, they did some DUMB stuff on that show. I mean, seriously, what would you think of someone who pulls up to a party, says "hey guys, watch this" and then proceeds to take up 50 sq. feet with a damn inflatable movie screen.
