NIN begrudgingly pulls the plug on 3D film tour
Man, talk about a buzzkill. Trent Reznor himself has come forward on his official website to announce that there will be no 3D tour film as previously planned. Much like what happened in the heralded U23D, Nine Inch Nails had planned to film a show in 3D with James Cameron's team for a theatrical release as well as eventual release on DVD / Blu-ray, but unfortunately, an unnamed record company pulled the rug out from under the plan at the last moment -- or, that's Trent's side of the story, anyway. On top of that disappointment, we're also told that the current North American tour is likely "the final tour for NIN on this scale." We can hear the collective weeping from here.

NO!!! I saw the show in Columbia, MO and the visual effects were totally amazing.
oh thats sucks nin, tool and pink floyd are my favorite bands.
Wow, the only music concert the wife and I went to together was this summer, and it was to see NIN in Georgia. The wife is a big fan of NIN, and I was dumbstruck at the show they put on, and surprised at the wide range of fans coming to the show (14-80). This is unfortunate.
Why is it that "unfortunately" and "Record Label" always seem to come up in stories dealing with great ideas? I sense a pattern...
Wow, youtube "nine inch nails live 2008" and you'll see what we're missing (lights in the sky tour = awesome). This would have been AMAZING in 3D, a game changer!
At least there's a massive fan DVD in the works....anyone in Vegas is welcome to help out.
