Sony builds massive BRAVIA-drome in Italy to showcase 240Hz Motionflow tech
As the race to infinityHz continues, Sony is busting out the advertising checkbook to showcase its utterly mesmerizing 240Hz Motionflow technology. The BRAVIA-drome installation, which is modeled after a 19th century zoetrope, measures 10-meters across, spins at over 40kph and is the centerpiece in a new commercial designed to display soccer action in the sleekest, smoothest, silkiest way imaginable (or so it says). Have a quick glimpse at the filming of the spot just after the break.

I've looked at the pictures and clicked the read link, and I still don't totally understand what Is going on here on here... Is it just a set for a commercial shoot with a big spinning thing that they want to relate to how fast their TVs refresh?

Here ya go!
not clear on what that thing does but it sure does look nice
seriously...w/out a video this post stinks. i have no idea what its supposed to look like spinning at 40 kph. i guess i'll leave it to my imagination after a few drinks
Wow, only Sony could think of spending this much money on a dome that leave you with a black-horizontal bar going through your picture several times a second blocking a bit of what your seeing playing a tech demo of a guy passing a ball looping over and over again.
Meanwhile, their company continues to have their stock going down more and more to a hundred year low courtesy of the failure that has been the PS3. Go... Sony?
Now that you've spent that 10 million dollars well, people in Italy will definitely buy your tv now and you'll have 100% marketshare. I have no doubt, every single italian will fall for this solely cause they love soccer sooo much. *rolls eyes*
jus found sony hav got a blog going over at http://motionflow.eu about this whole thing
