Maybe most 'areas' due to the huge land mass, but not most (=number) of the popluation, considering 93% live in a capital city, most number of people (majority) have access to a decent speed of service. Telstra is now pushing forward with their 100Mbit Cable service on their existing HFC network (which has just been announced from CEO Sol Trijillo) with an upgrade to Docsis 3.0, now that's something to look forward to if you live in a one of the cap cities :-)
