TWC now shipping tuning adapters in Rochester, NY -- do you have yours?
The headline pretty much says it all, but if you really have to know the details, we've heard from two different Rochester-based tipsters that Time Warner Cable has informed them that their tuning adapter has shipped. This marks the second major market in the nation to receive these splendid boxes from the carrier, and it got us to wondering about everyone else. Has your local carrier come forward with tuning adapter availability? If not, what's the estimated wait time? [Disclosure: Engadget is part of the Time Warner family][Thanks, Gabe and Victor]

Albany TWC has had the tuning adapters in their warehouse since November 17th. They have not released any information as to when the TA's will be distributed to their customers.
I hope they don't ship them like Rochester TWC is doing. I'd rather pick up my two TA's at the local TWC office.
Nothing in Columbus, OH. They are always so clueless about it when I call in. TW columbus just added a bunch of new HD chanels today too (not the ones that were on the list a few days ago too, we got FX, Travel chanel and a few others that werent on the upcoming hd list!). Hopefully the tuner comes out before the end of the year...
I spoke with TW Rochester Tuesday night and they said mine should be arriving in 3-5 business days.
i can ditto that. they called me yesterday (twice actually) to let me know they were in and shipping and to expect it in the mail in 3-5 days.
As I mentioned in a comment to another post recently (the one about the new Cox channels), Cox Fairfax, VA, started distributing TA's exactly one week ago today. I've had mine since Saturday. :-D
It is here. It is hooked up. And it is beautiful.

OK, I just found another positive. It has a power button rather than just always being on. I was worried that it would not power back up after a power outage, but I just tested that and it fired right back up again.
Got mine today here in Rochester, hooked it up and of course it is not working. I'll time warner tmw if it still isnt'
UPS delivered mine yesterday. I hooked it up, and just as Dave's - it's not working. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with TW. They say it works fine with a Series3 device, but not with a TiVo HD (which is what I have). They blame TiVo at this time. I don't care who's fault it is, they should have tested that and fixed the problems before they sent out the boxes.
Karl/Dave,
As strange as this sounds........a friend was having the same problem, TW tech came to house and didn't even know what the TA was. finally got someone on the phone with a pulse and they eventually managed to get it working. How? Restarting the TiVo until it worked. I don't get it, but he was enjoying the "new" channels Sunday night.
What, no.
oops, sorry,
