Maybe younger people never heard of them, but anyone who's been in computers long enough knows Centronics invented the first standardized interface for printers which was used for many years until USB came along. I know many people who still use it and think it's less problematic than USB.
Centronics designed connectors were also used in SCSI applications and in a lot of other specialized areas. They were known for their high quality, but expensive designs.

Do you really think that this is the same Centronics? This is another company using a recycled name (even if they bought the rights) to get attention.
