OTA still free?? good... screw them...
not a great idea when they are trying to get people to switch - and have an inferior quality pic
I was talking to someone with AT&T last week and the topic of U-Verse came up. I mentioned how it was not available in all areas and he said they went overbudget. Perhaps they gotta find a way to pay for that? Pass the the cost on to customers and its a win win situation, especially if you're stuck in a 1 to 2-year service agreement.
U-verse do NOT have any contracts. They are month-to-month, unless you want to commit to a 1- or 2-year agreement.
Ahh, just like a cable company!
What are these costs anyways? Not necessarily for Uverse but for someone like Time Warner. Why is it $100+ for cable and internet? Yeah, that includes a DVR and HD channels, so what? Isn't a DVR basically a standard device by now? Just like the old cable box with the channel + - and volume + - keys eventually became? Stop cramming cable with a bunch of bull shit channels and give people what they ask for. More is not always more. I can scroll through 500 channels of junk just so they can invent a reason to charge me $100.
Typical. I have U-verse right now, and this among other reasons is why I'm about to ditch it. The HD compression is the biggest reason though. HD channels look like crap, and SD look even worse than normal. I can't take it. For what I'm paying it should be better. I'm going back to cable. As much as I loathe Comcast, at least the final product on my screen looks better.
