Columbus-area TWC subscribers were
just blessed with sixteen new high-def channels over the past little bit, and according to a new report from
The Columbus Dispatch, these same folks will see eight more in January. There's no mention of what exactly those channels will be, but we are told that the
Start Over service has been expanded to eight areas in Central Ohio and should be available to all at the beginning of next year. Oh, and while this is completely unofficial, we'd say you can probably send a thank you letter to AT&T for
applying pressure where it counts. [

Now we just need our tuning adapters so tivo hds can get these chanels!
I just switched to Time Warner. Wide Open West is to slow to bring HD to their lineup.
According to Time Warner MidOhio's Channel Change Notices, the channels being added are: Adult HD On Demand, CNBC HD, ESPNU HD, Bravo HD, Speed HD, MLB Network HD, Toon Disney HD, and Sci-fi HD:

I think you are a little off there Matt. The Channels in that release were added on Dec. 28. The article in the Dispatch states:
"Sixteen more HD channels were added this month, and Time Warner plans to add eight more in January, Barbao said."
Perhaps I am off, but those channels were not added on December 28 and still have not been added, at least not for all customers. In fact, the legal notice says "on or after December 28th," which January 2009 certainly is. Also, those eight channels were not among the sixteen added earlier in December (around December 20 for me); those additions included CNNHD, Fox News HD, Travel HD, Biography HD, etc. But hey, whatever.
