Samsung's skinny Blu-ray player uncovered
Stop staring at the plastic wrapped photos from our pre-CES tour and have a look at Samsung's totally uncovered 1.5-inch thick Blu-ray player. The BDP4600 is sure to kick off an all new battle of "thin for thin's sake" amongst CE manufacturers, but honestly, given the emphasis on design or complete lack thereof on most Blu-ray hardware so far, this can't come a moment too soon. What does it do? Your guess is as good as ours, until Samsung decides to let loose with the specifications.

Slot loading or what? Those pics suck.
My one and only Samsung Blu-ray player stopped playing regular DVDs after four months. I returned the unit (Costco) and stayed a one-BD player household (PS3) until this past Xmas when the wife bought me a Sony.
Too many people that I know of had bad experiences with Samsung players, and no one really knows why.
GhostDoggy, I think the same like with the Samsung mobile phones. Excellent hardware and innovative features, but software problems...
In my opinion, the barriers of entry to the Blu-ray Disc market are too high to constitute a second player. Especially for the common college student (me). I just entered the BD world in November with a Sony BDP-S350. I doubt I will buy another Blu-ray Player until this one dies or they come out with some new and great feature that I can't use.
Depending on the specs I definitely want this...
What I am looking a is not uncovered...
It looks like a giant Linksys router.
Either my subconscious just didnt care about a skinny BD player and made it disappear at first or my pervert sense went off and pictured her pinching herself!
