I've got a Samsung BD-P1500. It's 1.1 out of the box, but firmware-upgradeable to 2.0. Load time is decent...I'm watching the movie in less than 20 seconds after putting in the disc. That's an estimate...I'll try timing later.
I think a better poll to take is "who cares about load time on their Blu-Ray player". Suppose your player loads a disc in 4 seconds compared to my 20. Who cares?? Is that really what bragging rights have come down to? Unless I'm relying on an instructional Blu-Ray disc to show me how to perform the Heimlich on my wife who is choking on her popcorn, I really don't see the need for "fastest loading Blu-Ray player".
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
