Boxee has announced that it's opening up Alpha (not Beta) to public access to anyone using Mac, Ubuntu, or Apple TV.

The Windows version of Boxee of is sliding into 'by invite only' Alpha (not Beta), the Windows version was pre-Alpha before that.

So again, Boxee (for all platforms) is still only in Alpha stage, with the Windows version only available to private testing which is by invite only, however all other platform versions is now available to everyone after registration which is free.

PS! So far as I know their plan is to keep Boxee and its services free to end-users, (unless you want a premium service like Netflix in which case you pay Netflix and not Boxee).]]>Jan 9th 2009 11:33AM
