Samsung HMX-R10 HD camcorder is stunning, stunningly small
We've been a fan of Samsung's roundish camcorders ever since we reviewed the SC-HMX20C, and the HMX-R10 somehow manages to improve upon even that. The CMOS-based Full HD camcorder sports a 2.7-inch LCD monitor, a lens that's angled up at 25-degrees (you know, for those spy shots) and a 5x optical zoom. Details beyond that are scant, but you can take a closer look in the read link below.

You know that makes a lot of sense if you don't have a viewfinder, much more ergonomic.
Dumb Design!!
I've been a photographer for over 50 years and I can tell you right now that when the camera is used outdoors you are going to get nothing but glare because you are shooting thru an angled piece of glass. That glass is looking right up at the sky. Every dot of dust, finger mark, baby snot smear, drop of rain is going to *GLOW*.
What in the hell were the engineers thinking??

I don't think you hold the camera straight, and that glass/lens angles up, which would certainly cause glare. Instead, it's an ergonomic thing... You hold the camera angled down, which would be more natural on your wrist, and the glass/lens ends up facing straight forward.
If you're only shooting hand-held, it will probably very comfortable, but a tripod setup is gonna look pretty damn funky.
