Crestron records best sales ever, asks "what recession?"
The world at large may be having some trouble with their credit, but Crestron customers are clearly not being affected. Just a day after the US government reported the worst jobless rate since 1945, the home automation company has come forward with its best month of sales in its 40 year history. Moral of the story? Touchpanel control of one's HVAC is really, really, really important these days.

I got a basic Crestron system recently, but thats because I install them. I did however get an iPhone because of the Crestron App thats coming soon...
wait.... this story wasn't submitted by Ben the home automation fanboy?
I look and see that once again it's the Murph! Earlier this week I got to see Murph snake a post from some other engadget writer.... wait a sec.... just look at all those posts! that Murph is a prolific story scooper!
.... I don't need one of these home HVAC screen things do I... really? c'mon now.
well keep churnin out the news Murph, try to leave a few for the rest of the crew.
This has to be the MOST useless comment ever. EVER!
Agreed, DEEZ.
Worse jobless rate since 1945? Only if you ignore the 70's and the early 80's. We hit 10% unemployment a few times back then. And it was actually higher back in 1993 also.
I really hate sloppy reporting and jumbling of stats. Rates are different from raw number counts.
Media rule number 1 - Pick the statistic that makes the situation look most dire.
I would have to agree with crestron. I know the economy is suffering, but people in this country are so used to somlaining and are saying one thing and doing another. For example, I have not seen any chain restaurants close in my city (1 million people city). Every day they are packed full of americans that like to eat themselves to death. Each one of those dinners cost from $10 to $30. And they do it all the time. They also spend money but now they are even more selfish than before. They'll spend $40.00 on a dinner but buy you a pizza cutter or a $2.00 christmas gift. They can keep it. People are still spending money.they just like to complain so they dont have to give back.
