Quantum of Solace to be released on Blu-ray on March 24th

The latest Bond movie will be hitting shelves worldwide on March 24th and is packed with plenty of extra features. The BD50 disc will be encoded with AVC and features a DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound track. There are also plenty of HD extras on the disc, which is a nice break from the norm. A quick look at the releases due in the comming month makes us think this will be the first big hit of 2009.
IMO Casino Royale was brilliant, I thought this one was a boring predictable POS.
While I enjoyed Casino Royale more, I think this was a pretty fun Bond flick. I'll pick it up.
I think the most interesting part is that MGM is releasing this via Fox rather than Sony.
This will still sell well though I bet.
It's pretty clear that this will be the strategy for Blu-Ray; release the big films quickly to get BD sales high.
Seems early though to be releasing it on disc. Only premiered a few weeks ago.
It came out about two months ago. I don't think five and a half months is too "soon" for a DVD release.
I really liked QoS, much better than Casino Royale.
Enjoyed this one a lot..it's kind of like CR part 2. I did not cre for the card game in CR however..seemed to be 90 minutes of cards ugh.
Will be picking this one up.

Will they use this event roll out another wave of the older Bond films in Blu-ray? Goldfinger?
Yes, two more 3-packs should arrive on the same day. The titles expected are Goldfinger, GoldenEye, License to Kill, The World Is Not Enough, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.
According to digital bits they are... I only hope Amazon has another sale like last time (on the older bond movies).
I will probably get this movie...maybe this will be the 2nd movie to break the 1 million mark.
Quantum of Solace had the worst Action Editing I have seen in a long time. Still, I will buy this DVD since I have the entire Bond Collection.
I'm a James Bond fan, but really, this one just SUCKED!!!
