Panny VIERA or Pioneer KURO FTW.

I once saw a guy make a comment on an engadgetHD article in response to someone questioning the price point of a rather expensive Samsung that went something like this "This is a Samsung you moron, not a cheap brand like Vizio or Panasonic". I literally laughed at loud when I read that. He got half of it right. To put it in car terms it's as if he said something like this "This is a Chevy you moron, not a cheap brand like Kia or Porsche". Huh?

Loban

Comments on Panasonic's pricey TH-65VX100E plasma reviewed, swooned over

I'm sure glad I didn't see that comment because that is just ridiculous. I'm pretty sure Samsungs are pretty good, but they're not on the Panasonic level. While I LOVE the VIERA line (I have one), I was still a little worried to see that Panasonic was going to be producing the KURO panels as the KUROS are THE DEFINITION of what a TV should be. Nice to know Panasonic is actually closing the gap between themselves and Pioneer. Soon instead of Pioneer being #1 and Panasonic being #2, Panny will just be #1. Samsung who? :)

Loban

Comments on Panasonic's pricey TH-65VX100E plasma reviewed, swooned over

KURO this summer....?? ....

http://www.homecinemachoice.com/features/pioneer+previews+Fuga+Kuro+tech

Tony

Comments on Panasonic's pricey TH-65VX100E plasma reviewed, swooned over

I'm not sure there is a big market for this set at any price. Once it is in place on the stand or the wall, who cares how heavy it is? It only takes 2 average people to put on a stand, 3 to wall mount (to be safe). Mounting to the studs is more than enough to hold it on a wall. Furniture for this size TV generally can hold the weight too.

I have 2 50" Plasmas one mounted and one on a stand. Haven't moved either one since installation was completed.

I will admit that demand for this size has seemingly diminished, atleast in my market. We used to sell a bunch of 60" Elites and 65" PZ850's and now demand has shifted toward 55" and lower. The large DLP's are making a comeback as of late, especially since Mitsubishi dropped the replacement bulb cost to $99 factory direct!!! (Most Samsung DLP's are now LED based)

Just my slice of personal experience

Andrew Lindsey

Comments on Panasonic's pricey TH-65VX100E plasma reviewed, swooned over

in that case it'd be "you can always hit IT with HIM" :P

undisclosed
