Logitech does make some pretty good remotes at lower price points too. I've got a Harmony 880. The button functions and their icons/legends are completely customizable. You connect to Logitech's servers and tell it to download the exact configuation and remote code sets that you need for your equipment.

That said, I completely agree with the comment about using the remote without looking down. The 1100 seems to be a minor Upgrade, if I didn't have the 1000 I'd buy it. I was hoping for a major update to the 1000, oh well.
