Although this is another week without any day-and-date blockbusters, there are more than a few that will make our rental queue. The first is Oliver Stone's
W. which we figure is a must see no matter what your politics. The other new release to watch out for is the comedy
Soul Men which is probably not a very good movie, but has to be good for a few laughs. Warner pulls four more out of its vault including the classic John Grisham movies
The Pelican Brief and
A Time To Kill. For Universal this is
The Rock week with both Doom and
The Rundown. Fox has two more of its classics too with
The Boondock Saints and
Donnie Darko. We're still messing around with our links, so this week we linked to Rotten Tomatoes' reviews and as always if you have a problem with that, be sure to let us know in the comments.
For catalog releases, I prefer IMDB. Has more info than rottentomatoes.
For newer releases, prefer rottentomatoes, Prefer the way it does reviews and separates the user community from the reviewer body and further separates major reviewers from minor reviews.
Maybe if you guys linked both, say in the format -> "Name of Movie" (Studio) IMDB RT
Need to have links to a review and to netflix IMO>
I found Boondocks Saints out early at Blockbuster on the 7th, just in case anyone wanted to know. Some may have put them out early.
Looking forward to the High Def release of Amadeus. Classic flick.
my name is bruce has my name all over it....
RAGING EFFIN' BULL!
Doom?
DOOM? How can they waste manufacturing capacity with crap like that when there's so much good stuff to bring out at Universal?
Universal dipsticks!
I'm again still a fan of High Def Digest. I've either seen these movies (A Time to Kill, Raging Bull, Amadeus) or I know I will/won't like them without needing to read a review about a movie already reviewed for the theatrical release. What kind of transfer is A Time To Kill? It's a classic, but how well did it transfer? Rotten Tomatoes and even IMDB aren't going to tell me that. I do kind of like the idea about including several links via small hyperlinks.
