Well they've got 20 days to start carrying Speed HD or they're going to lose another subscriber. Every other provider carries it, so it won't be too hard to get my F1 in HD.
The only reason I see to switch to DirecTV would be the NFL and MLB packages. DirecTV only has about 5 more HD channels than Dish that are worth watching and I believe Dish is adding them this spring now that there new satellite is in orbit. And from my experience Dish's receivers are a lot better. For example side by , dual tuners, side by side PIP, the ability to add as many external hard drives to your recievers as you want, and the ability to record 3 things at once, are at least four things that I know that Dish recievers will do and DirecTV's won't. And I don't think the newer DirecTV receivers receive off air antenna signals. Not mention the new reciever coming out this spring that is SLING loaded and has a 1 TB of memory. It will be tough to ever get me to switch, just because of the receivers themselves.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
