Panasonic updates its commercial plasmas down under
Panasonic isn't exiting the plasma market (well, at least not yet) and if you've got a need for plasma image quality in your signage or you want input flexibility for your living room set, a Panny commercial plasma might be just the thing for you. The new TH-58PF11WK, TH-50PF11WK and TH-42PF11WK models for our friends in Australasia come with "Full HD" (FHD) 1920x1080 pixels and three user-configurable slots that can house modules for audio and/or video input; there's even a module for wireless connection. Yeah, wireless sounds nice, but we'll give the ability to tile up to 25 plasmas in a 5x5 array as the real feature you should try on for size.

OMG, a 58 inch plasma in commercial form that is 1080p! Finally! Now, bring it to the States. I personally think that the commercial panels without speakers make for the sexiest display. I mean... Who the hell uses built in speakers when buying a 58 inch TV? Really. Even el cheapo HTIB sets for $150 sound better than any of those speakers.
Hey bozo, this is not news! The 58" and all the others have been in the US for quite some time now. That is why this article makes no sense. These TVs have been out since last June so why the fuss really? because they came out in Australia big deal, if we posted when tv's came out all over the World we'd be writing alot so this is not news.
Wa? I must have missed it but when did Panasonic come out with the 58 inch as a commercial panel and not in the TV version? Can you link?
heres a link for you mlody11 goto http://www.visualapex.com/index.htm
you may be able to find it cheaper than that site too.
well the article did some good. mlody11 may have gotten a new tv out of mix
i usually ignore posts like yours, but it was just too ignorant. i also like to know what kind of tech other countries are seeing (especially if it's regarding plasma). besides, many people ,unlike yourself, dont even know about panny's commercial line. dude, if this story makes you so angry, why dont you go post on yahoo tech or cnet somewhere and let some grown folks talk to each other...
What country is "Autralasia" exactly? Is this a new republic of Australia I hadn't heard about?
Fixed the typo, thanks.
George - do you mean that highly sought after products that were released in Europe last year shouldn't be noted on Engadget when they are released in the US? Or do you mean that Engadget shouldn't report on anything that happens outside the US, for fear of dealing Americans a fatal dose of information overload? Just because you're in the US, doesn't mean that "we" are all there with you.
No carl h bozo, what I'm saying is this product was released last year in the US, so why is it a big deal that it is now released in AUS? duh? so whatever about your "highly sought after products in Europe garbage" no offense Steven but it really wasnt you I was calling bozo but mlody11 that seems to think this product has not been available in the US; when really its been available for quite some time now. But still not so much news.
makes me angry, i don't think so corey; you might want to see if your angry though
