NBC Universal content now available on PlayStation Network
Good news for Playstation 3 owners -- NBC and Sony have just announced that NBC Universal content is now available on the PlayStation Network. In addition to NBC shows like The Office, 30 Rock, and Heroes, new movie releases like Milk and Role Models will hit PSN day and date with the DVD release, and back-catalog titles like The 40-Year Old Virgin and The Big Lebowski should already be up. Pricing is ballpark with the competition: $2.99 to $5.99 for SD and HD rentals, and $9.99 to $14.99 for SD and HD purchases. Not bad, but we won't be happy until these fools drop the shenanigans and give us what we really want: Hulu. Make it happen, guys.

Just give me access to Amazon HD on the PS3.
i know this is probably going to get me a good stoning but shouldn't sony be more interested in promoting bluray instead of using the number 1 selling bluray player to enable movie downloads? or is this more of a sign that sony agrees that blu's future is limited and it's time to get itself positioned for the the downloading age
Um can't you already access HULU on the PS3 through the PS3 web browser. They enabled flash support a long time ago in one of the PS3 firmware updates.
Not to mention the PlayOn option, but no one seems to remember that.
My thoughts exactly, I watch the office all the time on my big screen. The one feature I would like to see and let me know if you can, turn off the power save on the Web Browser. It seems like after 10 minutes it starts to go grey and you have to touch the toggle.
But yes Hulu works great and you can Zoom in for full screen.
Wreckedchevy...Yah Im sure that it. Didnt you say this in a recent comment section "i don't think the mainstream consumer is interested in having to scour the net to find a good price on a freakin movie they like to compulse buy at walmart" You cant have it both ways, which is it?
why yes i did and u completely missed the point of that comment as well as this one. i was just making a crack at sony for enabling so much downloadable video content on the ps3 when downloads are supposedly what is going to be bluray's downfall... i personally think blu's downfall is going to be the movie prices cause people walking threw walmart love to stop at the $5 movie bin's and won't even look at bd's cause of the price tag on the disc's. which was also an issue with hd-dvd. the only reason i got one is cause i just got a flatscreen and needed a decent dvd player and grabbed my a20 during that pre black friday walmart deal after i got it started doing some reading online and that's when i first found out about the whole format war... i really could care less either way i just know i'm not going blu until they stop having issues with playback and the movie prices come down to dvd pricing. until then i'm going to stick with my dvd just built a htpc so i might add a bd drive to it eventually and netflix some bd's but not to worried about it really
download hd compared to blu-ray hd is a joke blu-ray hd look and sound alot better than any movie donwload or rental. plus blu-ray has bd live and bd-java and delected seenes pip branching kool menues and more its like a vhs vs a dvd (if u have the rite set up for 7.1 but more commonly 5.1 souround sound a 1080p tv and arnty sitting more than 8-10 feet away from it)
PlayOn is great! Hulu, Netflix, CBS, Amazon, etc., with additional functions on the way. Just be sure your computer can transcode fast enough -ie. Dual core Athlon 3800+ or equivalent.
