Looking thru the line up there are so many programs that are the farthest thing from it. Look at the other two examples in the picture. There are two "games" that do nothing but make your controller rumble. Just the other day I found an application that is basically a fart machine. I guess it doesn't really matter but I was hoping to actually find some cool games pop up but instead there is a whole bunch of "games" that I think could be considered a waste of space. Xbox needs better screeners.

Mike

Comments on Xbox 360 TV Calibration app pops up on Community Games

This is there "game" line up.

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/catalog.aspx?d=0&r=-1&g=3001&sb=2&ot=0&mt=32&rl=0&p=1&pb=-1

Mike

Comments on Xbox 360 TV Calibration app pops up on Community Games

Does this have achievement points?

calc.exe

Comments on Xbox 360 TV Calibration app pops up on Community Games

I see patterns for color and overscan, but nothing related to brightness and contrast which is usually the fixes that provide the most dramatic benefit. My 360 recently RRoD'ed and my replacement unit, although much quieter now, has a different PQ than I remember. My television settings never changed and when I turned it on, everything was jaggy, sharp, colours were off etc... I'm guessing they might have updated the graphics chip or something.

Like don't low rank me, but I use to play it on dynamic with the "neon greens" and "snow whites" etc... and now to get a passable PQ i use the movie settings which I've tried to get to around 6500K settings.

My living room 52" incher is professionally calibrated and looks great. My bedroom television is a 32" LCD which I bought in december 2006 and the settings aren't very detailed to mess around with. You have the choice of Sports, Standard or Movie. If you change anything on those settings they become custom. The problem is, even if I change every setting to be the same, all 3 modes look differen no matter what. Sports is sharper and brighter no matter what, standard is normal and movie is smoother and darker.

Has anyone here used this download tool? Im thinking, I'd rather just get a DVE dvd or hd-dvd version since I have the add-on ($16 bucks clearance) and calibrate with that.

HC

Comments on Xbox 360 TV Calibration app pops up on Community Games

I low ranked you, but it's your fault because you told me not to!

Bradford

Comments on Xbox 360 TV Calibration app pops up on Community Games

I'll stick with tweakTV.com.
