The percentage of sales people that recommend Samsung HDTVs.
Salespeople are also becoming less likely to recommend LCD sets over plasma sets, which goes against the industry trend.

2010 is my target year for getting an HDTV. That OLED looks good, but I bet it will be way outside my budget.
I guess it's nice to know they plan bigger sooner but nevertheless.
Their relatively small 32" OLED will undoubtedly be wildly expensive.
I can't see too many really caring or buying.
Wake us up when they can promise us a 'normal' life-expectancy on all the LEDs (isn't blue a problem color atm?) and when their 50" models hit the price current 50"-ers are going for, I'm sure there'll be no storage of interest then.

Yeah, I rememeber talk about that and IIRC talk about German group of researchers too.
Nevertheless that's not quite the same thing as being catagorically promised that the matter has been fully sorted on their production models though.
I'd say we're still waiting to find out fully what kinks and flaws the tech still has.
Just hurry up with the big OLED TVs already, anyone. I have a sinking feeling plasma is on it's way out (due to most consumers having no clue what they're talking about) and I refuse to buy LCD. OLED is the only acceptable plasma replacement.
Doesn't that graph say 2011 not 2010? I read that to say 2nd half 2011.
I'm more concerned about the trend to use highly reflective, glossy screens on LCDs... will OLED follow this terrible trend?
i hope that off angle viewing problem gets fixed before then. seriously, that's the only reason id never choose a lcd over my trusty panasonics; that still stands for OLED.
OLED doesn't have viewing angle issues. The light is created by the pixel iself, not a backlight. That is one thing (among others) I can't stand about LCD. I was watching TV on my in-law's couch the other weekend on their brand new Samsung LCD and i couldn't figure out why the colors were so muted. Then I got up and moved to the center of the room. Lo and behold, all the colors came back nice and crisp and accurate (at least as much as you can expect from an LCD). That, to me, is unacceptable. LCD = a joke in my book.

after reading a few reviews like these, i decided to see one in person @ Paulsons electronics in Novi, MI. Gary Merson was right, as always. dead center it's amazing, though!!!
no No NOOOOOOOOO!!! That is the biggest downfall of LCD, the horrible viewing angle. I LOVE my plasma because it looks exactly the same no matter where I sit. That's it, if Plasma dies and OLED replaces it only to have crappy viewing angle issues, I give up on consumer intelligence altogether. A world where good products die and over hyped crappy products (LCD) flourish is a sad sad place.
