Sin City Recut, Extended and Unrated Blu-ray special features previewed
A highly stylized flick like Sin City is sure to look great in high definition, so you're probably already planning to grab when it the Recut, Extended and Unrated version hits Blu-ray this week. For those who can't wait or are on the fence, MovieWeb has this quick snippet (embedded after the break) of Cine-Explore Bonus View special footage from the home version that shows off how the special effects were done while the movie plays on in the background. Other than that, the disc packs a couple commentary tracks, a 5.1 audio track including audience reaction (apparently so you can pretend you're at one of those movie theaters you no longer go to) and an interactive comic book.

Wow, that audience reaction audio track sounds hiliarious. I kind of wonder whom the soul is who wants to play the audio track that makes it feel like they are not alone when watching a movie while they are actually alone watching the said movie.
Cool! Does this track also include the sound of the asshat sitting behind you talking on a cell phone in the theater?
This is the most visually stylish film I've ever seen, and I always thought it looked pretty darn good on DVD.
I hope the Blu-ray brings out every bit of HD quality this film deserves.
Can't wait to see it.
Sin City was released on Blu-Ray back in JANUARY! I got my copy months ago.

Is the upcoming release a special edition?
Yep, this is the extended special edition, I edited the title and post to make that more clear, thanks!
U bought the Canadian Import. This is the official US version. I snagged a copy a couple weeks ago at my local BJs.
What's the point of the audience reaction track? This isn't exactly "Rocky Horror"!
Well if that's the only difference between the US release and the canadian import i bought for US$13 I'm satisfied with my version.
The special edition DVD add the same audience track as well.
Odd. I was in best buy last week, and was surprised that it (Sin City) was on the shelf, so I picked it up. I thought it was supposed to come out tomorrow. Did my Best Buy screw up and put it out early or did they have some exclusive arrangement?
I want some info on the audio for the extended cut. Seperating out the stories as was intended by the author is the best way to watch.
