Though it would seem that since the action is so fast paced the differences between smooth & crisp might be hard to notice. That said, these aren't as bad as the blurry, smeary filters placed on many modern 2D rereleases.  The original 3D backgrounds upscale well and the sprites really pop against them. I have Super Puzzle Fighter HD and it does upscaling too.
