I don't have a problem with the existence of High End products. I'm just curious how Runco or B&O can make money off of these products, unless they are making them to order. If they stock units ready to ship, they have to be loosing money on dead inventory.
The US has lots of millionaires. Just look at the collection of pro-athletes and related jobs in that career field (coaches, owners, etc) as a start. This is pocket change.
