Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
First let me say that I LOVE these "HD 101" posts. I always learn something. Keep 'em coming!
Now to highlight my ignorance: This post got me thinking. I get only FIOS internet service. If I plug the FIOS cable directly into the QAM port on my TV, will I get local TV channels (in HD)?
Yes. However, that's called cable piracy. Just FYI.
@kevin:
How is that "piracy"? To do that, he has to have a FiOS ONT terminal in his home, which means he's legitimately paying for service. The only things he can watch are whatever's transported in the clear. There's nothing illegal about that. Please don't perpetuate ridiculous myths like this.
