Holy mother. $250! This is becoming seriously insane. I wanted this so bad in HD but these prices are insane and I actually make good money. Totally crazy.
$350 MSRP.. Holy crap!
$250 dived by 77 episodes = $3.25 per episode.
Plus extras. I think it's a fair deal.
Although I'd pay more if it didn't have a typo on the package.
Guess they let interns do the box design...

I'm afraid the box design is as crappy as the series. At least in my opinion this was a huge let down. I really liked the original when I was a kid and got hugely disapointed by this soap opera in space.
This is one box I will NOT buy.
At least I'll agree with you. Season 1 and 2 were pretty good, but the show tanked after that.
Great series. I really enjoyed it. But not sure I can afford to fork this much money for the series. I'll look for some sale on it.
what was everyone expecting? It's the complete series of what will be debated as the (if not one of) best sci-fi series in television history and it's in HD to boot! I will buy it, it's history and it will be the marker that all other sci-fi television tries to hit, never mind pass. Everyone expets everything to be so cheap, I think it's worth every penny and, if I'm not mistaken, Razor is included in this set too. I'll buy it on it's release date.
Razor is included, the forthcoming The Plan and "The Face of the Enemy" (the mid-season 4 webisodes) are not.
The cylon figure is way cool. I agree one of the best SciFi series ever. And I've seen them all.

Too expensive for this BGS fan.
While I'm a huge fan of the series, I'm not so sure there going to be that much PQ difference to justify the price. It's shot very dark and grainy, not to spotlight the major advantages of all the additional resolution.
Don't get me wrong, there will be a difference, just saying it will not be as much as many may expect.
I get what you're saying with the grain and dark scenes will probably be full of noise, that said, increased resolution is still increased resolution. The larger your setup, the more you'll appreciate it. Plus, a DD HD mix will be very nice and you'll have more episodes per disc (I hope), another benefit people tend to overlook when it comes to tv shows on blu-ray. As to whether or not its worth it, thats up to each one of us. If you already own much of the series on DVD, I can see bypassing this. But if you're going to take the plunge, personally I don't consider DVDs as viable options these last few years, unless its a low-key title that won't get blu-ray treatment for awhile.
It's too bad they didn't wait for "The Plan" to put out a complete series box set.
I can not believe the people around here saying that this total crap should be the best Sci-Fi series ever. It's awful !
To say it's an awful show is a bit much. To say that the old show is better, to me, tells me you probably haven't gone back and watched it any time recently.
Frankly, the price isn't too out of line compared to other shows in HD. Most that I've seen are $100 a season list price, you get four and more for $88 a season list price.
Having seen the HD DVD set, yes, seeing it in HD is quite nice, grain and all. The DVDs looked mushy in comparison.
Looking it up on Amazon, it's $220 preorder price. I held off on the DVDs because I was hoping for Blu-Ray so it's not a big deal to get it.
Something else to think about, the total of the MSRP of all the DVD sets is $320. If you're going to bitch about the extra $30, that's your deal, but if you bought every DVD set of the show, then you've probably spent pretty close to this price.
I want to get this as a gift for my boyfriend who is a huge BSG fan...does anyone know if this set includes the miniseries, webisodes and the razor movie?
