3D glasses included in two new Disney games for Xbox 360, PS3 & Wii
While you'll probably have to wait for James Cameron's Avatar for a proper stereoscopic 3D experience on consoles, Disney is readying two games this summer that will not only support anaglyph 3D (good news, it will work on any TV, bad news, it's the same low quality red/blue style 3D you've seen and ignored before), but come with two pairs of glasses packed in. Just continuing on the 3D hype its been dispensing to the kids with Jonas Bros. and Hannah Montana flicks both on the big screen and at home, highlighted most recently with Up and culminating in the upcoming Toy Story 1 & 2 3D remakes in October, Disney is clearly making an effort to work the technology in on every level with special 3D modes (no cheat codes necessary.) Toy Story Mania is a Wii-exclusive game due this fall based on the ride at its resorts, while G-Force brings spy guinea pigs to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 July 21.

test?
Anaglyph *is* stereoscopic. ANY system that presents you two slightly different images (for each eye) is stereoscopy. I think you are wanting/meaning the polarization method.
That said, I completely agree with your point. Red/blue 3D has got to go!
They should stop using anaglyph for 3D it gives 3D Movies a bad name, only stereoscopic or better please. The 3D experience with those red/blue glasses is so much lower then you experience in the cinema's, it adds nothing but headache and it's just a misleading marketing gadget.
i tried sly cooper 3D for a minute with the glasses. they need to make something that also works for people with glasses.
Toy Story Mania at Disney World is an amazing experience that is totally worth the 2 hour wait.
I have a strong feeling "Toy Story Mania: The Game" will make me die a bit inside.
Red/blue anaglyph is no where near as high quality as the polarized glassed or even shutter glasses.
But to use polarized glasses you need a very specialized monitor/tv that's easily $1000+ for a 19inch monitor and shutter glasses method requires minimum 120hz monitor/tv and ideally 240hz which tends to cost a lot more right now than a basic monitor.
But the truth is that if you have such a distaste for anaglyph then you have not seen any decent images. I personally think that 99% of red/blue anaglyph images are not properly optimized and look terrible. Also as a side note, with anaglyph you need to keep the closest part of the depth of field no closer than the monitor itself. Anaglyph does not work well with images "popping" out of the screen.
Another solution which is more modern and not bad is ColorCode 3D, which is anaglyph as well but instead uses blue/yellow filters. But I must say that there are some very well done red/blue anaglyph that look great. Here's one example:

So until auto-stereoscopic or 240hz displays become mainstream or at least affordable anaglyph can be a decent solution. Right now I can play 3D games quite enjoyably using this:

Works with any Direct 3D game and you can make it red/blue, blue/yellow or even a few other solutions I've never even tried before. Just remember to adjust the settings so that nothing "comes out" of the screen (too much strain on eyes, not to easy to focus which makes it seem unnatural). Only distance depth and you'll be happy.
