We just passed the official half way point of 2009 and still waiting for Hollywood to start releasing the goods again. So until then, we'd like to highlight
The Universe from A&E. We're drawn towards this for a few reasons. One is that we like to see TV shows being released on Blu-ray since that just gives us one more reason to not subscribe to cable, and two we like documentaries on Blu-ray. There are also a few catalogs this week that might be up your alley though, like Grumpy Old Men and
The Deep. Otherwise keep moving and waiting until the end of July when a few good titles are due to hit the streets.
- The Deep (Sony)
- Grumpy Old Men (Warner)
- In Memory of My Father (Invincible)
- Knowing (Summit)
- Night Train (National)
- Push (Summit)
- The Unborn (Universal)
- Universe, The: The Complete Season Two (A&E)
Wow i should have put Netflix on Hold while this Zzzz couple of weeks goes by
Is Push worth getting on Blu-ray? Haven't seen it.
No. A rental at best. I found it to be pretty boring.
+1 rental
grumpy old men? really?
Yup, gotta love all those wrinkles in full HD!
Welcome to summer+recession.
The Universe is a excellent series, should love marvelously on Blu-ray. Too bad I won't buy any more Blu-rays. Oh well, back to Cable.
