The EPA found that the percentage remained consistent from 1999-2005. Even as recycling rates went up, the amount of electronics reaching end of life outpaced the increase, leaving the figure static. (source: EPA, July 2008)

I think it's funny how non-windows users try at every opportunity to make themselves feel better about it. Just face it already your chosen OS (OSX/Linux) is the vast minority. Think about that for a minute, don't you think there's a reason.

for osx: lack of horrible third-party chassis and higher price.
for linux: multiple builds. no corporate marketing.
so lets see you come back from that.
