I was interested in getting the VSX-1019 until I learned it did not have 7.1 output, I was looking for a temporary pre/pro. Since the Onkyo + Coupon was mentioned, I figured this baby was fair game too. :-)

Definitely be a much better amp for the money, though you sacrifice some non-sound features like dual HDMI outs... but I think it's XM ready.
