Haven't had a chance to check out the new GUI yet, although I'm assuming it's similar to the RX-V3900. The Pioneer Elite VSX-23TXH would be a better comparison.<br><br>I was interested in getting the VSX-1019 until I learned it did not have 7.1 output, I was looking for a temporary pre/pro. It weighs in the 50lb range as well.  I upgraded from an RX-V795, and the sound improvement is absolutely amazing.
