But, at least they're working on making the two softwares talk to each other on a lower level. I suppose once they have some functionality built out, it would be fairly insignificant to make their apps talk over the Messenger service instead of over TCP.

Looks like PP3 for WHS will make MCE a more powerful client of WHS, but MS if you're listening, please make MCE run right on top of WHS! We don't want another box doing the recording work any more. We just want the one WHS box serving up data and recording from TV directly, then we can throw an extender or streaming receiver (or even nettop PC) over in the entertainment center.

Richard Glitter

Comments on New Media Center features in WHS Power Pack 3 exposed in a screencast

Just one question.
What is a "screencast" ?

dslate

Comments on New Media Center features in WHS Power Pack 3 exposed in a screencast

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screencast

Ben

Comments on New Media Center features in WHS Power Pack 3 exposed in a screencast

**sage tv cough cough**

ohpleaseno

Comments on New Media Center features in WHS Power Pack 3 exposed in a screencast

I wonder why they went .wmv for the Zune file. That's what Ive been waiting for, along with play to within wmc so I can pause then resume in another room like you can with uverse. Combine that with emucenter app and being able to watch blu ray iso files within wmc and that would be the dream setup. oh and also a setup like Richard said "small netops as thin quite mountable pcs" Is that asking for much??

Skatingn330
