Dish network is supposed to be carrying it on 9450 in HD... but their own customer support wasn't sure when today... as of 1pm pacific it was not even in the guide so I could DVR it.
They could probably use a few calls to the 800 to get their attention focused by 5pm pacific... though it is repeated again later in the eve.
I am really ready to go with locals via OTA and my AppleTV and DVD/BR for most everything else.
1st I had to teach a Dish Tech how to aim their dish after he spent 6 unsuccessful hours trying. Then when MSNBC went HD I had to ask for it as it was in the guide but nonfunctional. Cust service didn't know it was even there... (hadn't seen their own Press Release) Then today I did online chat with an agent who discovered that BBC America HD is on 9450 and should be there... ( this morning) followed by the aforementioned agent who was again surprised about the channel and registered an issue for me with the programming team.
So... next time Dish fails it will be disconnected after years of paying them $100 a month
wow, so you are expecting the people getting paid $8/hour to keep on top of every press release that you assume they receive, and know the channel lineup better than their ABCs? You sound like the type of person whom thinks everyone is dumber than yourself... must be fun to be you.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

The sign out in front of the old HQ, now a Call Center for DISH says $11 an hour. And at one time as much as $15.
