Xtreamer media streamer promoted with a video

Media streamers really are a dime a zone these days so it makes sense for them to just keep getting smaller and cheaper, while at the same time adding support for every codec and container known. The Xstreamer is the latest to hit the scene and is featured in this promotional video (after the jump) and looks pretty, pretty good. Of course we'd really like to experience the user interface first hand because while it seems these devices usually hit all the feature requirements on our check list, it is usually the user experience that is lacking.

This thing looks nice and if nothing else will create more competition with Popcorn Hour to create better products and nicer UI's.
If it supports 24fps playback and bitstreaming of HD Audio I might have to buy it.
With the new firmware it can do 24fps playback (http://bit.ly/1842At), and out of the box does DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD passthrough (http://bit.ly/hY9HP).
It does more than a PCH at $100 less, and is planned to get firmware updates twice a month. It's not without it's share of problems (they just launched and are working out some issues), but it's very promising.
I think it was well worth the $169 shipped.
Its crap ... Nothing the PCH A -110 or even A-100 cant do .. never mind when the C-200 is released .. I know it is much cheaper but when you can only equal a product that is over 3 years old , i am not impressed
Booo! They ripoff Popcorn Hour! Don't buy their products!
Hey! If it wasn't for ripping off others company's product, Microsoft wouldn't be in business (Lotus 1-2-3, WordPerfect, dBase, Apple OS, etc., etc.,)! A usual business plan is to make a product as good or better than your competition's and sell it for the same or less.
Dammit engadget, you just cost me $170! I was going to get a PopcornHour A-110, but went with this. Hope it turns out as good as I hope. *fingers crossed*
I'm certainly in no position to judge, but isn't odd that this company has produced official advertising materials using pirated content? Look at the titles of the movies.
i don't know about you but i use scene rules to name all of MY personal backups.

this XTREAMER would be better than the WESTER DIGITAL TV?
consider me sold. i just wonder if i can program my harmony to control it.
