With
Angels & Demons still without a U.S. release date (September 14 in the U.K.) and
Easy Rider set to debut September 15, there's a possibility Sony Pictures new
BD-Live powered
movieIQ feature could find its debut on a pair of western movies:
The Quick and the Dead &
Silverado. Both are set to hit the streets September 8, while Silverado promises a never-before-seen featurette sure to interest fans in this collector's edition, neither is quite The Man with No Name-series material or packing other notable Blu-ray exclusives beyond movieIQ. Still, it's interesting to see Sony pitching connected features to these audiences, looks like we should expect movieIQ on most titles from here on out.
Oh BD Live ... Zzzzz..
Give it up already
If only the article described what movieIQ was.
if only you would read the article and click the movieIQ text that links you to it...
"Movie IQ" sounds like an oxymoron.
I just read it, Dead Blu-ray discs :)
BD Live is as Dead as HD DVD. No one wants to connect to the internet through their Blu Ray player. They tried this crap with DVD-ROM only features years ago that no one used either. Why Hollywood? We want quality image, sound and On disc Special Features that actually ARE special.
Seems to me they still don't know what to do with the technology, so they keep trying new things to see what'll stick. This particular feature doesn't impress me the same way a featurette or additional footage would.
I don't care about online chats, mini-games, or text from CDDB about the actors that can be pulled up during the movie.
I'd be more impressed if I could get the movie delivered to my home on the day of release :)
