X-Games 3D the Movie debuts August 21

3D will take another big step forward this week with the one week only appearance of X-Games 3D The Movie. ESPN promises it's the first full-length sports 3D flick and has gone to great lengths to make sure it's an incredible experience. It already screened in L.A. during the summer X-Games, but in case you didn't catch it there peep the trailer (2D) embedded after the break.

Yeah, and with well over 20 3D movies in the works, including movies from Pixar, DreamWorks, and James Cameron, it's too bad that 3D is just a fad.

I saw the preview in 3D when I saw UP. Looked pretty cool but I'm sure the cool factor is gone after a few minutes and then you realized you just paid money to watch ESPN.
