Transformers 2 Blu-ray packs special features inside & out October 20
The original Transformers saw feature packed releases on two different HD disc formats, so it's no surprise Paramount is planning a few new wrinkles for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Before even opening the box, Video Business notes an "augmented reality" box will let buyers use their webcams to access a special Transformers-related website, beating the Star Trek release with a similar feature to the shelves by a few weeks. Not impressed by that type of gimmickry? Actually inside the box is a DTS-HD MA soundtrack and two discs including plenty of Blu-ray exclusive bonus features like The ALLSPARK Experiment, Transformers Data Hub, Gian Effing Movie and The Matrix of Marketing. Michael Bay and the rest of the Blu-ray fans can enjoy it (including The Dark Knight-style IMAX sequences) on October 20, MSRP is $29.99.Read - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-ray Details and Cover Art

MSRP is only 29.99. I am impressed.
Same here.
Hopefully this is a trend that continues, and we start seeing $39.99+ MSRP prices disappearing on new titles.
$29.99 MSRP translates into about $19.99 retail I would say.
I really hope all these useless features and gimmicks aren't upping the price of these things one bit. Because if they are, and these movies could be had for $20 or less, that kind of pisses me off.
Anyone paying $29.99 for this awful movie makes baby Jesus cry.
Well I liked it, it's pretty entertainment. Besides you can't go wrong if in your movie you have big explosions, robots and Megan Fox ;)
Haha, you beat me to it, Rob
Well said!
If you all keep buying this crap the studios will keeping putting out this crap. Vote with your wallets!
If you need a hot woman in the movie to get your butt in the seats, there are two issues I see. The movie is crap and you're really desperate.
@Night Elve you will go wrong if Michael Bay is directing a movie. Even at his best he is mediocre, and usually his movies are much, much worse than mediocre.
Intelligible scripts, plots that make sense, good acting, coherent action, appropriate scoring, sometime less = more. These are all things that Michael Bay read about in a book once before blowing that book up in slow mo while bombastic movie blared over the top.
When people applauded at the end of this movie, it made me lose hope for the human race.
I don't remember the cartoon having the best dialog or script and I believe this is based off the cartoon and not some epic book like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. We are getting exactly what we want if we like this movie over the top non-stop action. I didn't think this movies was going to spark my intellect. Sure it's not perfect and left more to be desired in the storyline but it did entertain! I'll be buying this disc... Now Star Trek I expected a lot of dialog and a quality story line to match the visual affects. AT the end of the day it's all opinion and I'll respect that many enjoyed it and some didn't.
@HSOL
Lol you must be situated in a strange area, the only movie i heard applauding for at the end was the great LORD OR THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING... that was a beast tho.
Is one of the special features a complete re-write of the movie?
Agreed! Those ghetto/southern/rednecked/bucktooth like autobots spoiled it for me! Too much adult language for my 5 and 7 year olds. This will NOT be going into my collection! Sorry Micheal Bay but your effort to be funny was non-existing!
So you took your 5 and 7 year old to a PG13 movie without screening it first? Amazing.....
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action violence, language, some crude and sexual material, and brief drug material
@ Fargus
That's not what he said. Not even close!!
Special features are only interesting if you like the underlying movie.
its just a shame the movie was god awful...
i hope they gonna release a twin pack 1-2.
and stop complaining,it was a great action movie.if u didn't like it don't buy it.
get your favorite movie like-brokeback mountain- and some lotion and have fun!
I'd care if this wasn't the worst movie of 2009.
geee... lotso haters. Oh well. This woman likes her cheesy giant robot flicks with lotso explosions and unnecessary amounts of low angle shots
Unfortunately people are expecting their childhood heroes uttering epic oaths and spanning movie long adventures these days. Seriously, what did people expect when they saw Transformers becoming a live action movie? Shakespearean dialogue? M. Night Shyamalan plot twists and turns? I'm one of the biggest Transformers geeks around and I quite enjoyed it, simply because I expected giant robots beating the ever living crap out of each other and tons of explosions. I got what I expected, and not much more than that. I was satisfied with the end result. Could it have been better? Probably but Micheal Bay has the directing rights for the moment.
That being said, Hasbro has apparently been talking about rebooting Transformers with a first generation movie reboot, but working with the Bayformers movies, so basically the potential fanboy wet dream with one movie series, and the Bay version the next, alternating yearly.
Transformers 2 should set records for first week volume sales on Blu-ray.
A movie that as of August 20, 2009 at the boxoffice domestically earned over $397 million and internationally earned over $427 million. Global boxoffice earnings are currently over $824 million.
Everyone will have their opinions on this movie.
Good plot, bad plot, bad acting, good acting, hots girls, dumb robots, cool robots, too long, too short. There is always something to nit pick at with every movie.
Im pretty sure this movie will look and sound great on Blu-ray.
As for movie entertainment value, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
For me, I will get this movie on Blu-ray the first day of release.
It just sucked big time, not a patch on the first movie.
I'm sorry, there must be a bit of confussion. There's no digital copy included with this? ... Hello? Hello?
People...are you serious? This is a movie based off an 80's CARTOON! I for one am a die hard TF fan, call me a fan boy I don't care. Why are people looking so deep into this movie? Yeah it's not as good as the first but this is an action film about alien robots, I'm pretty sure it's a fiction film! This movie was designed for you to suspend your disbelieve for 2:30 hours, be entertained by loud explosions and mayhem, who didn't realize that going into this movie? The story was completely designed to be filler for the action. For all of you Bay haters out there, go and make a better film, or did you already because I haven't seen it yet? We all know Bay likes action so if you don't like his movies don't go and see them. I usually don't make it a habit of seeing movies which star actors or directed by people I don't like and I don't complain either. Again this is only a movie people lighten up
